Tool Description:

The REF is the latest in a long line of Intel evaluation tools that simplify and quicken your design cycle. Best of all, it doesn't cost anything.

The REF provides an on-line development environment which allows users to perform preliminary code evaluation prior to purchasing evaluation boards and tools. You are able to build and edit projects, run your own code on different Intel i960(R) processor evaluation boards and view your results.

The REF uses the same hardware and software one would use in a lab or what you receive upon purchasing one of Intel's QUICKval kits for the i960 architecture.

The REF site also provides you with links to literature and Intel distribution, so you can order the evaluation board that is right for your needs.
